    About the Author
    Attorney Leslie S. Marell has been practicing business and commercial law since her admission to the California Bar in 1976. She has extensive experience counseling companies in the areas of business contracts, purchasing computer and technology law, real estate, employment law and day-to-day legal matters. Prior to establishing her Los Angeles-based private practice in 1990, Leslie served as Corporate Counsel for Avnet, Inc. (Hamilton/Hallmark Electronics) for 6 years and was affiliated with United Technologies Lexar and Hughes Aircraft. As corporate counsel she gained the perspective of both purchasing and sales.

    In addition to her private practice, Leslie is affiliated with Nahabit & Associates, Inc., a nationwide training firm dedicated to training Purchasing Professionals. She developed and presents with Nahabit a two-seminar series across the country: Legal Aspects of Purchasing and Contracts: Reading, Writing and Negotiating.
